In accordance with the Articles of Association of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Provisional Regulations on Election Work for Grassroots Trade Union Organizations issued by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, at 2:30 p.m. on June 12, 2018, the Trade Union Committee of Zhuhai Deer Bioengineering Co., Ltd. convened a Congress of Trade Union Members. Through secret ballot and by-election, a total of 13 members were elected to the second-term Trade Union Committee, the Financial Review Committee, and the Women Workers’ Committee of Deer Bio.

The congress convened with five agenda items and opened to the stirring strains of the national anthem, as all delegates rose to pay their respects.

This meeting was chaired by Comrade Xi Zhihong, Director of the Administrative Center.

Agenda Item 1: Comrade Wei Xiaomin, former Chairperson of the Trade Union, presented a summary report on the work of the first-term Trade Union, covering the organizational structure of the previous term, the union’s financial management, and its activities. He also emphasized that, against the backdrop of Dier’s ongoing development, all union members should continue to advance reforms within the union itself and in its personnel development, serve the broader goals of the organization, and contribute to the growth of the Dier Trade Union.

Agenda Item Two: Comrade Zhang Peng, the Nominating Director and Chief Polling Officer, read out the “Election Procedures for the Second Congress of Members of the De’er Trade Union,” which was adopted by a show-of-hands vote of all member representatives.

Agenda Item 3: The meeting adopted, by a show of hands, the proposed list of candidates for the second-term committee of the De’er Trade Union, with unanimous approval.

Agenda Item Four: The meeting adopted, by a show of hands, the list of scrutineers and vote counters for this election; Comrade Zhang Peng was appointed as the chief scrutineer, and Comrade Xu Xueqing was appointed as the chief vote counter.

Agenda Item 5: Voting shall commence to elect the members of the second-term Trade Union Committee.

Under the supervision of the vote‑counting oversight team, the vote‑counting team tallied the ballots received. The conference had 50 delegates eligible to attend, and all 50 were present; 50 ballots were issued, 50 were returned, and 49 were deemed valid. In accordance with the conference’s election procedures, the election is hereby declared valid.

According to the tally, Chief Polling Officer Comrade Zhang Peng announced the list of elected members of the Second-term Trade Union Committee of Zhuhai Deer Bioengineering Co., Ltd. The meeting concluded successfully.

Following the meeting, the 13 members of the second-term trade union committee of the De’er Trade Union convened an internal session and, by a show-of-hands vote, elected the chairperson, vice-chairpersons, the director of the financial review committee, the director of the women’s committee, and the other committee members.
