The four-day 2016 Spring CMEF concluded successfully on April 20 at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. Under the theme “Dier: A Chinese Brand, a Global Presence,” Dier made a grand debut with its groundbreaking 96A fully automated bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing system, along with its comprehensive lineup of microbiology diagnostic instruments and reagents.

This year’s expo is themed “Unleashing New Momentum in the Integrated Health Industry,” with innovation serving as the enduring driving force. At the event, Dier unveiled Asia’s first fully automated bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing system—the 96A Bacterial Assay System. This represents not only a technological breakthrough but also a move to break the long-standing global monopoly held by two European and American companies over fully automated microbiology equipment.

The 96A bacterial identification system, capable of processing 60 samples simultaneously, automatically dispenses a variety of auxiliary reagents and rapidly generates antimicrobial susceptibility reports. It also boasts robust networking and extensibility features. Its introduction has not only attracted numerous domestic distributors but has also earned high praise from partners in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas.

As clinical demands on laboratory services continue to rise, rapid and automated systems for bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing are becoming the prevailing trend. Coupled with the advancement of microbiological technologies in numerous secondary hospitals and the steady increase in specimen volumes, we are confident that our 96A bacterial assay system will enjoy a promising market outlook.

The DL-GBS series, a culture‑based analysis system for Group B Streptococcus, represents another innovative offering from Dier. The adverse effects of GBS infection on pregnant women and newborns are well recognized worldwide; however, diagnostic methods have long been limited to manual agar plates or other conventional approaches, with low positivity rates and poor assay accuracy remaining the primary challenges. The introduction of the DL-GBS not only boosts culture‑based detection rates but, when paired with the DL‑GBS48, DL‑GBS96, and DL‑GBS192 instruments, enables rapid, automated, and large‑scale screening—making it a groundbreaking solution for GBS testing and the world’s first dedicated GBS‑specific diagnostic platform.

With the relaxation of the national two-child policy and the growing clinical understanding of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) infection, GBS testing will be widely implemented in prenatal care at hospitals at all levels, leading to increasing demand for and broader application of DL‑GBS assays.

At this exhibition, Dier also showcased the DL-96Ⅱ bacterial identification system, which has been installed in over 2,000 units; the globally competitive DL-BT series fully automated blood culture systems; the DL-ET microbial dynamic detection system; the DL-DYE fully automated staining machine; the DL-BV bacterial vaginosis detector; a mycoplasma sample‑loading device; and related complementary in vitro diagnostic reagents.

Since its founding in 2003, Dier has now entered its thirteenth year: from welcoming its first reagent user to serving more than 5,000 healthcare institutions; from a small laboratory in a southern city to eight regional service centers nationwide; from partnering with over 400 distributors to earning recognition in more than 40 countries and regions worldwide; and culminating in the establishment of a wholly owned U.S.-based technology company. Dier’s microbial diagnostic products are steadily expanding from China to the global market.

Integrity, unity, innovation, and shared value—Dier stands with you in tackling the challenges posed by microorganisms.
